I was so excited for the 5-day camp at Oak Brook Bath and Tennis Center, and for the most part, it lived up to expectations. As an avid tennis player, I genuinely loved the instruction and felt like I learned a lot, which was fantastic. However, my experience this week was significantly overshadowed by the extreme weather conditions. It was incredibly hot, and to make matters worse, the air quality was absolutely horrible. Despite these clearly unhealthy and uncomfortable circumstances, practices were not canceled or even moved indoors. This was a real disappointment and frankly, a health concern. It made it difficult to focus and enjoy the game when everyone was struggling with the heat and poor air, and it felt like the center should have prioritized the well-being of the campers more by adjusting the schedule. Adding to this, there was supposed to be a classroom component for learning more about tennis theory, and while we received the folders and notebooks, the actual lessons never happened. It's a shame to have missed out on that educational aspect.

Oak Brook Tennis & Bath is a gorgeous location, thoroughly suited for wedding couples looking for a location offering both professional staff and gorgeous locations to get images. From my photographer's point of view, I have had the pleasure to witness a staff applying itself to ensuring the couple's needs are addressed giving couples their heart's desires. From that same point of view, I have had the pleasure to utilize the stunning scenery on the grounds to capture remarkable portraits of wedding couples. Throw in additional things including: - a beautiful patio to utilize for cocktail hour; - the cozy and beautiful ambience of the indoor settings, which assist in providing a great vibe for the evening (and provide a great background for reception shots); and you have a near-perfect location for a wedding reception. I'm already looking forward to the next time I have the honor of photographing a wedding there. I know it's going to be stellar. Kudos Oak Brook Tennis & Bath. You're setting a high bar and keeping there.

I can't say enough great things about the Oak Brook Bath & Tennis Club team, and we feel so lucky to have found them for our wedding venue. From the start, back before a COVID postponement, they were prompt to reply and always so kind. When COVID hit, they showed up in the most honorable way, helping us navigate that as a true team. I had heard horror stories from friends in similar predicaments while I only had praise to sing for our venue team. Marianne is such a fantastic person and point of contact, and Lee, equally amazing, was on site for our wedding day. Both of these women went above and beyond to make it a truly perfect day where we can really say that not a single thing went wrong. There are not enough superlatives to describe our experience with OBBTC. We would, without a doubt, give our highest recommendations to Oak Brook Bath & Tennis Club. My family has loved this place since my husband came here as a child. We love being able to spend our summers here with our kids as well! The pool is heated (all 3) and there is a sand beach that my kids could dig in for hours. Paddle boats and canoes are always fun as well as fishing! The snack shack has great food and drinks for the adults too. There is never a problem finding a chair and just the right amount of shade for super hot days.
